The Planning Commission was established under
Chapter 250 of the Codified Ordinances
Chapter 1220 of the Codified Ordinances
Chapter 1222 of the Codified Ordinances
addresses the adoption of the Master Plan. The Planning Commission prepares and adopt physical plans for the City and reviews development proposals, both private and public as set forth in the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, MCL 125.3101 et seq. and the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, MCL 125.3801 et seq. and acts in an advisory capacity for matters referred by the City Council.
All requests for the Planning Commission are process through the
Planning and Zoning Department
located on the second floor of City Hall.
